stunt - run for the oceans
run for the oceans is a key moment for adidas every year. a run against plastic waste. to make people feel something for the oceans in 2021… we decided to bring them closer to it. to create a warm up walk/run that brought them face to face with the amazing resource plastic waste destroys every year - the sea itself. so, we created a track on the water at the iconic pointe, just in front of the world famous atlantis hotel in dubai, and by the end of the short run over the water,
oh, and the programmed show at the world’s largest water fountain? we used our proximity to that as an asset, creating an emotive show where the ocean spoke about the challenges it faced and invited people to run for it.
For signing up on the spot, guests received a free tee, but what was most compelling for them was the iconic photo opportunity of being in the middle of this famous bit of sea and the world’s largest fountain, to which they got a view like never before, where they could enjoy our special programmed show. This activation was created in close coordination with the divers, programmers, and owners of the fountain at the Pointe, Nakheel, who helped us turn this Palm Jumeirah entertainment destination into a mobilization ground for the important social cause of saving the oceans.
